The Local Veteran Employment Representative ensure that veterans receive priority & preference in their job search. This individual will meet with veterans to develop an individual employability plan. In addition, the veteran representative can provide additional help through: Initial assessment of skills and abilities, assistance with employment search & career exploration, information about the local labor market job seeker workshops, referrals to state funded training such as TAA,W-2,and WIA/WAA, and referrals to skill improvement training. The Local Veteran Employment Representative can assist veterans who face barriers to employment. If you need services outside the workforce development center, the veteran representative can refer you to an appropriate provider.
